Being the middle child is hard. It's hard because your little brother or sister always screams in your ear and your older brother or sister mostly beats you up and the other times they're sleeping.
Let me tell you the ways to stay alive when you're the middle child... or get killed in the process.
Pranks
First Ketchup Water (do this to your older sibling when their in the bathroom.) If your older sibling is drinking something at McDonalds do this. 1. Open a packet of ketchup. 2. Open the lid take the straw out and put the straw in the ketchup put the ketchup in the drink close the lid. 3. Get ready to laugh.
Second Fake Person (do this to your younger sibling when your pretending to sleep in and your parents tell your younger sibling to wake you up.) 1. get a skeleton from the store and if anyone asks about it tell them" I'm getting ready for Halloween, don't wanna wait till the last minute." 2. put the skeleton in your bed in the morning pull the sheet all the way over and wait for your sibling to open the sheet.
When your the middle you usually get less attention. This is sometimes good and sometimes bad. This is a good thing because you can go off and do your own thing. This is bad because you might think you're not accepted.
No Attention

The Good Thing
The good thing about being the middle is your parents are afraid you'll get Middle Child Syndrome so they get you a lot of toys.
Even though you might not have any attention your family still loves you... but it's still fun pulling pranks.

*Author's Note: My family loves me and pays attention to me, a lot! I wrote the "No Attention" paragraph to write about what other middle children feel like.
Comments are always welcome on each and every post as they encourage him to continue to write, better his work, and grow as a writer.
GS 187 is an 8 year old third grader (in the most advanced 3rd grade class in his elementary school) living with his mom, dad, big brother, and little sister. He is an excellent student, artist, Lego builder, origami maker, swimmer, Cub Scout, karate student, and Little League member.
Writing this blog was GS 187's idea. His parents, of course, encourage him.
Great Blog MS 187 ! Totally understand since I am a middle child. Love the pranks too ! Here's one you can try: get some black thread , roll it into a ball, then flatten it out just a little. Leave a long piece hanging out of the ball so you can attach it to a light switch or your mom's computer. Stand back and watch the screaming ...they'll think it's a SPIDER. But don't tell her I gave you the idea 😃. Keep up the great writing, I am enjoying it.

Ray!!! Oh my goodness! I have a spider phobia! JEEZ! But, actually, that's a really good one! Thank you for reading GS 187's blogs, it means a lot to both of us!
DeleteOne of the other things that happens is I can't tell a M from a G. GS187 I apologizes for incorrectly typing your 187 initials. I hope that doesn't eliminate me from the prize drawing for the JEFF GORDON JACKET. Oh wait, let your mom & dad know they can keep the J G jacket. They may need something to wash the car with!!!! 😃👍😃😃😃👍👍👍😃😃😃😃
ReplyDeleteThanks for the insight, being an 'only' child I had no idea what being a middle child is like, your lucky to have a brother and sister and lots of love in your family.
